Mrs. Roberta Leventhal Sudakoff and her husband Harry Leventhal relocated to Sarasota, Florida from New York City in the mid 1960’s. Mr. Leventhal died in the late 1970’s. In 1982 Roberta married local developer Harry Sudakoff and together they supported many local organizations with contributions of major impact. Mr. Sudakoff passed away in 1991 and Mrs. Sudakoff continued to support projects to enhance the quality of life in Sarasota with a focus on making an impact with her gifts. Roberta Leventhal Sudakoff Foundation was formed in 1996. Mrs. Sudakoff passed away in 2003 and the trustees of her foundation continue to make grants to organizations in Sarasota County.
